Devotion

Eveyday we learn something new..sometimes purposely..or unconsciously..
Yesterday i was talking to a friend about my addictions..dota..etc..and she said something really important to me..
She told me that i shouldnt be addicted to all these things..but i should actually be addicted to God..
Now for non-christians out there..you might not know what i'm talking about..but for the christians..i'm sure most of us are on the same boat..

After talking to her..i signed off msn..and immediately opened my bible..and started getting into the word..
Read about "the great commision" and how many people out there want to do God's work and spread his word but complain there arent any opportunities..
So often do we think going on mission trips mean going overseas to some 3rd world country..helping the poor and sharing God's word..
Well atleast many times..thats my impression of mission trips..eventhough again and again we're reminded..i forget =[

And AGAIN i was reminded last night..but i'm guessing this time is different..
Mark 16:15..Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature..
"Embrace your smaller world through earnest prayer as you consider lost individuals in your family. neighborhood and workplace"

I always dream about big things..like going overseas to like..China or something to make a change..but what i read yesterday..talked about..making big chances..in my own social circle..
And that really got me thinking..
This led on to me thinking about a sermon i heard awhile ago.."God will give you big things to do..when He can trust you with the small things He gives you"

My conclusion from last nights devotion..to share the gospel with my social circle..before i start working on "the great commision" =]
So to continue my mood..this morning i've been running through my playlist of christian music..and got particularly stuck to the song called " Devotion" and if your speakers are turned on and your internet is able to load fast enough..the should be the song playing in the background now..lyrics are on the right hand corner..
This particular verse really caught me..

So for fellow christian brother and sisters out there..i urge you to do the same..spread the Lord's name..to all nations..starting with your friends..and families..
