Define: Love

Well for the past few days i've been reading the book "Boy Meets Girl". The book really got me thinking about a few things and i think its great. If you guys have the time, take the time to check it out. And through the course of reading it..i've been trying to define the word..love..


So i went surfing..
On the internet ( Classic joke ) and found all these..definitions..quotes..all seemed really great..but i wasnt satisfied..
All the definitions were somehow..secular..and very..brief and just slicing the surface..
As i read on..a bible verse ran along the lines..
Yes..its the cliche line..everyone knows..even those non-christians..but this time..it felt different..

Patient..enduring and bearing all things..
Kind..rejoicing in truth and does not rejoice in unrighteousness..
It doesnt brag and isnt arrogant..
Does not seek for its own good...and doesnt take into account past sufferings and wrong doings..

How many of us..think about that..when we think about "Love"?

This morning as i finished watching "A walk to remember" i saw..a mirror reflection of the verse..on a persons character..
Eventhough he later found out the girl had cancer..and was going to die..he stood beside her..
Eventhough his friends teased him for going out with her..and even lost some of his friends because of her..he stood beside her..
Eventhough the guy used to be an ass..the girl didnt take account for the past wrong doings..

But more so..reminds me of the love of my parents..
Since mothers day is just..2 hours away..especially reminds me of my mothers love..
She never ceases to use actions to show her love for me..sometimes i take them for granted..but after reading this definition..it just hit me..
I know deeply..despite constantly being a pain to her..she'll still love me..
Despite causing her trouble and discomfort..she'll still love me..

Tell your mothers you love her..because she loves you..and treasure her like a jewel..because you are her jewel
